Abstract:

PURPOSE: To variably adjust a data detection level adaptively for an operating environment even without changing a hardware for each disk driving device.
CONSTITUTION: Level control data are generated through setting at a control means 100 so that a pulse width modulate(PWM) signal having duty to be variably set is inputted from a PWM signal generating means 200 to a level setting means 300. A level detecting means 310 detects a DC voltage level by smoothing the PWM signal and generates the data detection level by superimposing this level on a set DC voltage level through a superimposing means 320. This data detection level is hysteresis-compared with a signal from the disk. In response to a servo synchronizing signal generated at the servo block of the disk, a servo read control means 330 stops superimposing the DC voltage level at the superimposing means 320.
