To renew an existing well including a steel casing pipe inserted into an excavation hole and a water collecting part provided in the casing pipe, by liberating a clogged solid object, and pumping up the stagnant water and the solid object together from the inside of the casing pipe to the ground surface at the same time, when malfunction of flow in the water collecting part is caused by clogging and the well water becomes sluggish.
Clogging of the existing well is cleared in the following manner. Namely, in the existing well 6 in which the casing pipe 2 is inserted into the excavated hole 1 and the ground water 5 is collected from the water collecting part 3 of the casing pipe 2, a hollow rod 7 is brought down into the water in the water collecting part 3 of the casing pipe 2. Ultrahigh pressure water 8 and pressurized air 9 are discharged from a lower part of the rod 7 to an inner peripheral surface of the water collecting part 3 so that the water in the water collecting part 3 is brought up to the ground surface together with air bubbles 10.
