PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively put a space into a practical use by enhancing reliability of a page closing operation.
SOLUTION: The method for closing a page of a book-like medium to close the medium 1 conveyed in a page opened state along a conveying passage comprises a page bending step of containing a page 1a to be closed to an upper guide 2 vertically oscillatorily disposed above the passage in a protruding bent attitude to a page 1b side to be superposed, and a feeding step continued to the bending step of conveying the medium 1 to a binding portion 1c side.
