Abstract:
To provide a method for coating a car body which can improve the smoothness of a finish coating layer by improving the smoothness of an intermediate coating layer in cases where an intermediate coating and a finish coating are applied in a wet-on-wet manner and hardened at the same time.
This method has an intermediate coating application process 6 applying, to the car body, an intermediate coating material containing foaming particles foaming at a temperature lower than the hardening temperature of the intermediate coating material and finish coating application processes 7 and 8 of applying a finish coating material to the surface of the unhardened intermediate coating film layer applied in the process 6.
