To provide a composition capable of effectively inhibiting cell invasion associated with surgery in mammals such as human beings, and further to provide a method for producing the composition.
This method for producing a medicine for inhibiting the cell invasion at the site required to inhibit the cell invasion in the mammals comprises bonding an anionic polymer in an amount effective for inhibiting the cell invasion, to a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or an implant, and the anionic polymer is selected from a dextran sulfate, an alginate and a pentosan polysulfate. The carrier in the method, is a gel or polymer carrier, e.g. a natural collagen, a modified collagen or a dextran. The cell invasion is caused by the disease selected from the group consisting of external injury, the surgical operation, viral infection, bacterial infection, metabolic disease, malignant disorder, exposure to a toxic substance, and hyperplasia state.
