Abstract:
To provide peptides which exhibit potent anti-retroviral activity.
Provided are DP178 of a peptide corresponding to amino acids 638 to 673 of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1LAI transmembrane protein (TM)gp41, and fragments, analogs and homologs of DP178, and also provided is the uses of such peptides as inhibitory agent of human and non-human retrovirus (especially HIV) transmission to uninfected cells.
