Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an analog of BCH-189 from a less expensive precursor.
SOLUTION: A method for resoluting the enantiomers of a nucleoside of the formula (wherein, Y is H or fluorine; and R is an acyl). The method includes a process treating a nucleoside with an enzyme selected from a group consisting of a pig hepatic elastase, a pig pancreatic lipase and subtilisin.
