Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for compressing and thawing integer column data by which N-dimensional integer vector can be efficiently compressed and the vector satisfying a fixed condition can be taken out by quickly and partially decompressing the vector, regarding the method for compressing and thawing integer column data for compressing/decompressing large quantity of digitized information.
SOLUTION: This method is the method compressing the integer column data shown by an N-dimensional integer vector set T. The set T is converted by a conversion function, the distribution of the values of the i-th component (i is the component number selected in the range of i<N) of the vector belonging to the set T is converged and an N-dimensional integer vector set T' in which the information on the i-th component is added to the j-th component (j is the component number selected in the range of j>i) according to the convergence is made to be formed.
