PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically press contact both ends of a wire with prescribed terminals by receiving the tip end parts of the wire drawn from stockers by long chucks, by cutting them by cutters, by holding the both end parts of the wire by holding rollers, and by connecting them to prescribed terminals respectively.
SOLUTION: Wires 2, 2' are drawn out from wire stockers 1, 1' and passed to strand parts 4, 4' via guide rollers 3, 3'. One wire 2 is drawn out by a measuring chuck and after it is delivered to a wire holding finger 5 of a feed head 12, it is cut by a cutter 6. Then, the measuring chuck is entered between a wire holding finger 5' and a cutter 6' and holds the wire 2', the approximate both ends of the wire 2' measured into a prescribed length are press contacted and held between the holding rollers 14, 14' and rotational rollers 13, 13', and cut by the cutter 6'. Thirdly, the wire is drawn by the rotation of the rotational rollers 13, 13', the both ends of the wire are pressed in the terminal 17, and crimped by a caulking block.
