Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a connection part of large strength even in a short length so as to simplify operation by binding together fellow slivers in a turning air stream in a condition that compressed air is impeded from acting on a part arranged in a guide outside from a nip position of each sliver.

CONSTITUTION: Two slivers Sa, Sb to be connected are placed in a condition that the slivers are nipped in both ends of an overlapped part while overlapping an end part of the sliver. Next, an injection nozzle 8 is arranged in an injection position corresponding to a through hole 9 and placed in a condition as the drawing while arranging a cover 5 in a closed position. Under this condition, compressed air is injected from the injection nozzle 8 and jetted into a guide from the through hole 9. Since the guide 1 is formed in a cylindrical shape further with the compressed air jetted toward a position displaced from the center of the guide 1, a turning air stream is generated to rotate the overlapped part of the slivers Sa, Sb, and connection thereof is performed by winding a single fiber group on an external surface of the connection part as shown by a type in the drawing.
