Abstract:
To solve a problem of a conventional press fit contact pin that press-fitting waste of a press-fit connector pin is produced in a substrate, to incur loss of quality and loss of reliability for the substrate.
A terminal 1 has an insertion part 2 in the top of which a fitting hole 21 is formed; and a sleeve 3 which has an outside diameter d3, larger than the inside diameter d1 of the fitting hole 21 of the insertion part 2. A method for connecting the terminal 1 to a substrate 4 comprises a step for inserting the insertion part 2 into a through-hole 4a formed in the substrate 4 from one side of the substrate 4; and a step for pressing the sleeve 3 into the fitting hole 21 of the insertion part 2, from the other side of the substrate 4.
