PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing the raised part of a parapet which can be used also as a troweling scale without possibility that a water resisting layer is damaged. SOLUTION: A water resisting layer 3 is raised at a raised part 1, and a cushioning member 4 is laid at the corner between a roof floor face 2 and the raised part 1. A step is provided at the upper end of the cushioning member 4. The lower edge 41a of the step part 41 is adjusted to the finished height of protecting concrete 5. The upper edge 41b of the step part 41 is installed in a position higher than the finished height of the protecting concrete 5. Thereafter, the protecting concrete 5 is placed with its finished height adjusted to the lower edge 41a of the step part 41.
