Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the shearing stress ratio of the ground and enhance the strength against liquefaction.
CONSTITUTION: A vibrator body 1 is pressed to the bottom of a pit 21 and is made to vibrate in the vertical direction, and a shearing strain of the specified magnitude, 2×10-4-9×10-3, for example, is repeatedly applied to the ground 2. A sensor 3 such as an accelero meter is installed at a proper position on the ground 2 to confirm that a vibration (shearing strain) of the specified magnitude is transferred from the vibrator 1.
