PURPOSE: To enable reliable fastening without exposing the rivet end on the metallic plate front surface by burying a rivet wherein a mandrel is inserted and arranged into a rivet hole, and extending the diameter of the rivet shaft part by drawing the mandrel.
CONSTITUTION: A plate-like non-ferrous material B is bonded to the front surface of a metallic plate A having the thickness of 1mm or less, and a metallic plate C having the thickness of 1mm or less is bonded to the front surface of the plate-like non-ferrous material B, and then the metallic plate C and a metallic plate D are superimposed, and a rivet hole 3 having the depth to the plate-like non-ferrous material B is formed from the front surface side of the metallic plate D without penetrating the metallic plate A. A mandrel through hole 13 is provided on a shaft part 12 from the rivet head part 11, and a mandrel inserting-type rivet 1 wherein a mandrel 2 wherein the outside diameter of a mandrel head part 21 projecting from the shaft part 12 is larger than the inside diameter of the through hole 13 is inserted and arranged in this through hole 13 is buried into the rivet hole 3. Next, the mandrel head part is moved by the drawing operation of the mandrel 2, and the diameter of the rivet shaft part is extended, and fastening is completed.
