Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably cast a cast slab reducing a flaw to a level making possible the rolling without needing cleaning by clearing cooling condition for preventing the generation of a segregation zone based on segregation zone generating mechanism at the valley part of an oscillation mark, in a continuous casting of an austenitic stainless steel.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of continuously casting the stainless steel cast slab while oscillating a mold in the casting direction, the film thickness of powder obtd. from the consumption and the density of the powder is made to ≥0.005cM and an overall coefficient of heat transfer α (cal/cm2.s.°C) is made to ≥0.06 to execute the continuous casting.
