Title:
METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY CASTING STEEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING STEEL STRIP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3570337
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method for a steel by which a cast slab having good surface quality can be obtained without developing the clogging of an immersion nozzle, and a production method for a steel strip.
SOLUTION: This continuous casting method comprises regulating the total oxygen quantity T.O in the molten steel poured into a tundish to ≤26 ppm and blowing inert gas into the molten steel in a position between the molten steel outlet of the tundish and the spouting hole of the immersion nozzle under the condition of satisfying the following inequality (A). 5.56/[(85/T.O)-1.39]≤Q≤3...(A) wherein, T.O is the total oxygen quantity (ppm) in the molten steel and Q is the blowing quantity (little/ton of the molten steel) of the inert gas. This production method for the steel strip comprises hot rolling the cast slab obtained with the continuous casting method.
