Abstract:
PURPOSE:To stop a vehicle in the home position with a high precision, by generating a distance and speed profile in a form of parallel movement corresponding to a set value after the vehicle passes through a predetermined point. CONSTITUTION:After the just time when an automatically driven vehicle 12 passes through the first profile generation start point A, the first distance and speed profile for stopping in the home position is generated and outputted from a control device on the vehicle to drive the vehicle 12 in a target speed. Next, when the vehicle 12 passes the second profile generation start point C through an inclination/change point B, an advance distance set value stored in a register is read out to generate the second profile where a profile shown by (5) of figure is modified by parallel movement for (x). Simultaneously, the speed signal of the first profile is switched to the speed signal of the second profile continuously. Thus, the vehicle 12 has the speed reduced gradually, and a frictional brake is applied to stop the vehicle 12.
