Title:
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AMOUNT OF MOLTEN IRON TO BE TRANSFERRED INTO VESSEL FOR PRELIMINARY TREATMENT OF MOLTEN IRON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59116309
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a dephosphorization treatment and to save flux by controlling the rolling movement of a vessel for preliminary treatment with a detector for the holding amt. of molten iron provided in a dephosphorization chamber thereby maintaining the specified amt. of the molten iron to be transferred into the dephosphorization chamber.

CONSTITUTION: Plural treating chambers including a dephosphorization treatment chamber 2 provided with a detector for the holding amt. of molten iron (for example, electrodes 7, 8, a detetor 12, etc.) and a desiliconization chamber 1 are connected linearly. Such a vessel 3 for preliminary treatment is rotated or rolled around a horizontal shaft 17 to move the molten iron through a conduit port 5 provided in the partition wall between the chambers 1 and 2. The rotation or rolling of the vessel 3 is controlled in this stage by the above-described detector so as to maintain the specified amt. of the molten iron to be transferred from the chamber 1 to the chamber 2. The entire volume of the low phosphorus iron after the dephosphorization treatment is thus tapped, whereby the treatment efficiency for dephosphorization is improved and flux is saved.
