Abstract:
To prevent paper jam from being erroneously detected when thick paper is used in a printer in which paper feed is detected by the abrasion between a driven roller and the paper for determining the paper jam.
When thick paper is used, even if paper jam is detected, the printer does not determine it as an error. The printer performs a retry operation to determine whether erroneous detection occurs or not. Consequently, a print job is prevented from being stopped due to the erroneous detection of paper jam.
