Abstract:

To obtain stable hot lubricated rolling by minimizing the fluctuation of thickness and strip tension at the start or the end of applying a lubricating fluid in hot lubricated rolling.

A rolling line 100 imparts to a reference value setting device 400 a draft position measured by a selsyn device 106 immediately after rolling the tip end of a rolled stock, rolling load measured by a load cell 105, and a command value of a rolling speed, as each reference value for draft position, rolling load and rolling speed; the rolling line also imparts to a control device 200 a draft position, rolling load and tension measured at each point of time. In the control device 200, a thickness controller calculates a thickness control deviation from the deviation between the present value of draft position/rolling load measured at each point of time and the reference value at present imparted by the reference value setting device 400, converts the calculated deviation to a displacement of the draft position, determines a correction for the draft position by applying algorithm, controls the draft position of the roll and makes the thickness constant in the longitudinal direction of the rolled stock.
