To provide a controlling method for efficiently and stably operating a gaseous phase oxidation reaction system for a hydrocarbon having a process of recovering the unreacted hydrocarbon and circulating the same to a reactor.
The control method for the gaseous phase oxidation reaction system has the reactor to be supplied with raw materials containing the hydrocarbon, oxygen and air or on inert gas, a separator coupled to this reactor and a recycling loop for returning the effluent from the separator to the reactor, and the total flow rate of the reactor inlet or the discharge flow rate from the reactor or the separator is controlled by changing the flow rate of the air or the inert gas to be supplied to the gaseous phase oxidation reaction system and further the oxygen concentration in the effluent from the reactor and/or the separator is controlled by changing the flow rate of the oxygen supplied to the gaseous phase oxidation reaction system.
