Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent accidents, such as the breakage of a main shaft due to the burst of an accumulator, the failure of a mantle and a bowl liner and the seizure of a main motor, from occurring.
SOLUTION: When an accumulator 17 is bursted (broken), a high pressure gas sealed into a bladder 17a flows back into a hydraulic cylinder 6 to push up a piston 7 and in turn, a crushing head 10 ascends. This ascent level is detected by an ascent/descent level detection means 28 and is entered to a controller 38. The controller 38 has a preset abnormal ascent value and calculates a detection input value and a set abnormal ascent value. Therefore, when the ascent level of the piston 7 reaches the abnormal ascent value, a main motor 36 is stopped through the controller 38 and at the same time, a solenoid valve 19 is activated to be opened. Consequently, an oil contained in a hydraulic cylinder 6 is immediately drained, resulting in the descent of the piston 7 in the hydraulic cylinder 6 and the lowering of the crushing head 10. Thus it is possible to avoid the collision of the crushing head 10 with a bowl liner.
