Abstract:

PURPOSE: Cereal flour is tightly sealed in a substantially impermeable package or air-tight vessel together with a deoxidizing composition wrapped with a permeating material to control insect pests of cereal flour.

CONSTITUTION: Cereal flour such as wheat flour or rice flour is tightly sealed in a substantially impermeable package or air-tight vessel together with a deoxidizing composition consisting of an iron powder, reductive inorganic salt, reductive saccharide and reductive polyhydric alcohol, tightly sealed in a permeable package which has a moisture permeability of 10W150g/m2.24hr at 25°C and 75 RH difference and has 50W90% equilibrium RH, when it only is tightly sealed.
