PURPOSE: To automatically and easily make the Si concn. of a continuously produced high-Si concn. steel strip coincide with a target Si concn. with high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: The Si concn. of the steel strip 1 on the outlet side of a siliconizing treatment furnace 2 is measured online and the difference between the Si concn. of the high-Si concn. steel strip and the target Si concn. is calculated in the method for controlling the Si concn. of the high-Si concn. steel strip produced by continuously moving the steel strip 1 in the siliconizing treatment furnace 2. The in-furnace residence time of the steel strip 1 in the siliconizing treatment furnace 2 to make this difference zero is calculated and the moving speed of the steel strip 1 in the siliconizing treatment furnace 2 is controlled according thereto.
