Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of vibration owing to the starting of a vehicle engine.
SOLUTION: When there is an engine starting demand, the drive current of a motor 10 is increased under control of an electronic control unit 80 and the starting of an engine 20 is started. During a time in which a first one full turn of a crankshaft 21 is completed, the increase of a motor drive current is suppressed, and an engine rotation increase rate is suppresses. Therefore, even when the hydraulic lash adjuster 22a of the engine is in an oil running-out state, the cylinder pressure of an engine is suppressed and the occurrence of vibration due to a fluctuation of engine rotation owing to the increase of a cylinder pressure is reduced.
