Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable accurate sensing of yarn defects in a two ply yarn spinning machinery.
CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling two ply yarn prepared by open end spinning of two slivers (SR) and (SL) with a pair of drafting devices (5R), (5L), (8R) and (8L) and air nozzles (9R) and (9L) is characterized as follows. Yarn clearers (16R) and (16L) are respectively arranged at outlets of the respective air nozzles (9R) and (9L) to sense defects of the respective yarns (YR) and (YL). When any yarn defect is sensed with the yarn clearers, both the yarns (YR) and (YL) are cut.
