PURPOSE: To provide a method for correcting a car bodyshell and a device thereof capable of adjusting pulling operation automatically and naturally and making pulling force at least two sections which are pulled equal at all times.

CONSTITUTION: At least two tightening tools 3 are fixed on the bodyshell 1 of an automobile and on a pulling tool member 4. The pulling tool member 4 passes through a support member 7 connected to a power actuator. The pulling tool member 4 is adjusted in such a way that it reaches the body skeleton 1 of the automobile from a desired angle by utilizing a guide element 5 to be attached to a correction boom at a desired height. While pulling operation is continued by a part of the pulling tool member remaining on the opposite side, the pulling tool member 4 is locked at a predetermined position by a locking device.
