To provide a method for cutting and disassembling an apparatus having a rotating section capable of efficiently cutting and disassembling even an apparatus, such as driving motor for elevator hoisting, having intricate external shape members, by using a small-sized cutting device.

The cutting device 1 is supported on the rotating section which is a member to be cut rotatably by means of bearing supporting sections 106a, 106b. This device is fixed to the bearing supporting section 106a by means of arms 30, 32. The rotating section is then bisected and cut at about the middle in an axial direction by repeating the stages of holding the rotating section in a prescribed rotating position, pressurizing the front end 220 of the cutting device 1 in this state by means of a blade pressurizing arm 300 and partially cutting the shaft 109 of the rotating section along the cutting line passing the spacing 124 between an armature 107 and a sheave 108 by the pressurized blade 21, then partially cutting the shaft 109 with the blade 21 in the state of holding the rotating section in another angle position.
