Abstract:

To provide a means for easily and simply cutting a glass molded body whose thickness is not uniform.

The method is for cutting the glass molded body having a curved surface shape at least on one side of two surfaces facing each other. By forming a line-like groove in one surface of the two surfaces facing each other and bringing the local region including the groove of the glass molded body surface into direct contact with the surface of a heating jig heated to a predetermined temperature, and/or fitting the tip of the heating jig heated to a predetermined temperature into the whole area inside the groove and propagating the groove in the thickness direction of the glass molded body, the glass molded body is divided and cut by making the groove a boundary.
