Title:
METHOD FOR CUTTING METALLIC MATERIAL HAVING BORDER SURFACES WITH DIFFERENT CUTTING RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0985501
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To mitigate the variation of cutting load in border surfaces for reducing a difference between working stages and the surface roughness by slotting continuously a metallic material with a cutting tool in the order from one end side to the other end side of a cutting edge angle formed of the face and flank.

In the cutting by a cutting tool having about -3° of a set face angle α, the cutting is performed for the mating surfaces of both different cut materials orthogonal to the cutting speed vector direction by the inclined shaft of the cutting tool passing through the circular center point of the tip on the face of the cutting tool and extending parallel to the face surface of the cutting tool in the slotting direction when the mating surfaces of different materials are parallel to the cutting edge angle made of the face and flank or orthogonal thereto under the condition that the inclined angle is set to 0° and an angle inclined to the vector direction of the cutting tool feed is set to about 30-40°, i.e., the actual effective angle is set to about 12-22° from the expression in the drawing. Thus, the variation of a cutting load can be minimized.
