Title:
METHOD OF DAMPING VIBRATION OF SUPER HIGH-RISE BUILDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3300912
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To economically damp vibration of a super high-rise building with a process with a working volume less than that of an existing general technic, by constituting a main frame formed of a megastructure composed of an ultralarge size pillar frame assembly and an ultralarge size beam frame structure and by obliquely attaching dampers along brace members.
CONSTITUTION: 30 stores of main frames, having a unit height of 20m, of an ultrahigh skyscraper having a height of, for example, 600m from the ground level, is formed of a megastructure composed of ultralarge size pillar frame assembly 1 and ultralarge size beam frame structures 2. Further, 9-th, 16-th, 23-th and 30-th stories are formed of an ultra large size beam frame assemblies (megatruss beams) 2, respectively. Dampers 4 are obliquely attached along brace members in these large-size beam frame assemblies 2, in a total number of 32. With the method in which dampers are attached to only brace member 3 in the ultralarge size beam frame assembly 2, a small number of the dampers which is about 1/4 of that of the other models can give excellent vibration suppressing effect, thereby it is possible to eliminate the necessity labor for installing the dampers.
