This method is a deciding method of the rolling order of the slabs including a plurality of controlled rolled-stocks to which finish rolling is applied after rough rolling and cooling them and which has a stage where a plurality of combination patterns for making the slabs into a pair of every two consisting of a preceding material and a succeeding material are prepared, a stage wherein tandem rolling is made possible in the case the cooling time of the preceding material is beyond the rough rolling time of the succeeding material and the tandem rolling is disapproved in the case deviating from this condition, a stage wherein the total rolling time from the start of the rough rolling of the preceding material to the completion of the finish rolling of the succeeding material is calculated in the case the tandem rolling is possible and a stage wherein the total rolling time of the preceding material and the succeeding material is calculated in the case the tandem rolling is disapproved. the rolling is performed by selecting the combination pattern the total rolling time of which is smallest after similarly processing by changing the order of the preceding material and the succeeding material.
