Abstract:
To provide a method for decomposing an aromatic chlorine compound, by which treatment is carried out in a short time and resynthesis and volatilization of the aromatic chlorine compound are controlled.
The method for decomposing the aromatic chlorine compound comprises a heating and contacting process for bringing an object to be treated, having the aromatic chlorine compound, into contact with one or more kinds of alkali compounds selected from the group consisting of potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide in the presence of a liquid compound which dissolves the aromatic chlorine compound and the alkali compound and has ≥150°C boiling point under a temperature condition of 150-250°C.
