Abstract:
To provide bacteria decomposing carbonyl sulfide (COS) in gas and a method for decomposing the same.
This method for decomposing the carbonyl sulfide in the gas is provided by bringing a cultured cellular material or soil containing its cellular treated material obtained by culturing at least ≥1 kind of bacterium of the genus Mycobacterium selected from Mycobacterium sp. JK30 strain, Mycobacterium sp. SGM01 strain, Mycobacterium sp. SGM02 strain, Mycobacterium sp. SGM07 strain and Mycobacterium sp. SGM016 strain of the bacteria of the genus Mycobacterium, with the carbonyl sulfide in the gas for decomposing.
