Abstract:
To efficiently decompose a halogenated organic compound in molten fly ash for a short time without melting the molten fly ash.
The molten fly ash and an amine compound are brought into contact with each other at a temperature of 400°C or lower. By advancing the dehalogenating reaction due to the amine compound at a temperature not higher than the temperature at which the molten fly ash melts, the dehalogenation and detoxification of the halogenated organic compound in the molten fly ash is efficiently performed without melting the molten fly ash.
