Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of effectively decomposing a hardly decomposable substance adsorbed on a solid, to provide a method of regenerating an adsorbent used for the adsorption and separation of a hardly decomposable substance, and to provide a treatment method for waste water containing a hardly decomposable substance.
SOLUTION: In the method of decomposing a hardly decomposable substance, a hardly decomposable substance adsorbed on a solid is contacted with peroxide of ≥100 times mol to the hardly decomposable substance without performing desorption operation. In the method of regenerating an adsorbent, a hardly decomposable substance adsorbed on an adsorbent is decompose by the above method. In the method of treating waste water, an adsorbent is added to waste water containing a hardly decomposable substance, a liquid component and a solid component containing the hardly decomposable substance are subjected to solid-liquid separation, and the solid component is contacted with peroxide to decompose the hardly decomposable substance.
