Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing and removing sparingly organic substances represented by dioxins or endocrine disruptors contained in water of water supply and sewerage and wastewater from semiconductor industries with high efficiency and an apparatus for decomposition.
SOLUTION: The method for decomposing the sparingly degradable organic substances is realized. In the method, adsorption and concentration of the sparingly degradable organic substances with carbon nanotubes and production of ozone radicals according to a reaction of the carbon nanotubes with ozone by reacting the sparingly decomposable organic substances in the coexistence of the carbon nanotubes with ozone can simultaneously be carried out and the sparingly degradable organic substances are efficiently decomposed with the ozone radicals. The apparatus for decomposing the sparingly degradable organic substances is realized by installing a reaction vessel, an ozonizing means and a nitrogen gas feeding means. The apparatus can efficiently decompose the sparingly degradable organic substances by reacting thereof in the coexistence of the carbon nanotubes with ozone in the reactional vessel.
