PURPOSE: To clearly form a reticulate frosted pattern by covering the outer peripheral surface of a glass product which is coated by a photosensitive resin, with an opaque reticulate body, exposing said surface to light, removing the insensitive part and sandblasting the remaining photosensitive film as a masking member.

CONSTITUTION: The curved outer peripheral surface 2 of a glass product 1 is coated with a photosensitive resin 3 and, then, is put in an opaque cylindrical reticulate body 4, allowing the reticulate body 4 to be brought in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the glass product 1 due to its own elasticity. Then, this glass product 1 is exposed to ultraviolet rays and the photosensitive resin 3 affected by the rays is hardened to be turned into a water-insoluble photosensitive film 7. After that, only the insensitive part on the bottom face of the opaque reticulate body 4 is dissolved and removed, leaving incontinuous photosensitive film 7 on the outer peripheral surface of the glass product 1. This photosensitive film 7 is sandblasted to be a masking member, forming a clear reticulate frosted pattern on the outer peripheral surface 2 of the glass product 1.
