Abstract:

To provide a method for decreasing an expression of CD36 by a cell.

The method includes a step of placing the cell in contact with an effective amount of the aromaticity cation peptide having the following behaviors: at least one net positive charge; four amino acids at a minimum; about twenty amino acids at a maximum; a relation that 3p m is a maximum number of r+1 or less between a minimum number (p m) of net positive charge and a total amino acid residue (r); and a relation that 2a is a maximum number of pt+1 or less between a minimum number (a) of aromatic group and a total net positive charge (p t), but when a is 1, p t can also be1.
