Abstract:
To provide a descaling method that can prevent plate breakage during cold rolling due to twinning deformation without causing a dust explosion during shot blasting or lowering a descaling property.SOLUTION: In the method of pickling and descaling an Si-containing hot rolled steel sheet before cold rolling, a temperature of the steel sheet before pickling is set to 150°C or higher, and a surface of the steel sheet is subjected to shot blasting using stainless steel shot particles, preferably with an average particle diameter of 0.3 mm or more and 0.7 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
