Abstract:

To provide a method for accurately detecting the presence or absence of the infection of a human tissue with carcinogenic papilloma virus.

This is a method for detecting a human carcinogenic papilloma virus, wherein the polymerase chain reaction comprising serial heating and cooling was applied to a human neck tissue cell specimen so as to increase the amount of a characteristic DNA part of the virus, and the presence or absence of the characteristic DNA part specific to the virus in the amplified specimen is detected.
