Title:
METHOD FOR DETERMINING TRANSMISSION OUTPUT FOR PILOT CODE TO BE TRANSMITTED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002164867
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To select a pilot output so that increase in the signal to noise ratio, which compensates for the performance decrease related to imperfect channel estimation, is not affected by the number of spread sequences in use.

The method for determining transmission output for a pilot code to be transmitted includes a step (a) which determines the performance level attained by transmission, a step (b) which subtracts the level of the signal to noise ratio introduced by a channel from the performance level, a step (c) which subtracts transmission output of the pilot code for an allocated spread code on one hand, and subtracts output increase necessary to be given to the pilot code for subsequently allocated spread codes on the other hand, and a step (d) which determines transmission output of the pilot code for each predetermined time by the equation (Q=α(K-1)+Q0: K≥1, α>0 and Q0>α), according to the number of the spread codes in use.
