PURPOSE: To provide a method of processing a sheet-like halogenized silver photosensitive material, which may restrain generation of deposit or suspended matter even though the quantity of washing water is less.

CONSTITUTION: A method of processing a sheet-like halogenized silver monochromatic photosensitive material, including the steps of developing, fixing and washing and using an automatic developing device, characterized by using a fixing solution containing 0.5 to 2.6mol/little of sodium thiosulfate and not greater than 0.1mol/little of ammonium ions at a fixing step, and by using a washing solution containing not less than 0.02g/little of amino polycarboxylic acid or the lake and/or phosphonate, at least one kind of compounds exhibited by the structural formula (where F1 is a bivalent group, R2 is hydrogen atom, Z is contained nitrogen segment and X is anion), and/or at least one kind of betaine compounds containing at least one of straight chain alkyl groups having a carbon number of greater than 6 at a washing step.
