Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the secularly changing dimensions of T and Tc, to stabilize a seaming, to improve working efficiency, to save manpower, and to realize excellent seaming of cans different in kinds without changing the seaming roll.
SOLUTION: A seaming cam 1 is arranged so that the maximum displacement section (a) of a primary seaming roll is approximately orthogonal to the maximum displacement section (b) of a secondary seaming roll, the intermediate seaming thickness Tc is adjusted by displacing the maximum displacement section of the primary seaming roll in the seaming cam radial direction, and the final seaming thickness T is adjusted by displacing the maximum displacement section of the secondary seaming roll is displaced in the seaming cam radial direction.
