CONSTITUTION: The end surface 1F of a nozzle 1 of a gun 2 is pressed against the surface of a stencil 5 superposed over an object to be coated Oa. Liquid L to be applied to the object which is diluted with solvent, etc., is delivered under specified pressure from a nozzle hole 1H of the nozzle 1 by opening a valve 3 to force the liquid into the void of the stencil 5 at the time of the movement of said nozzle successively from one side of the stencil, so that coating is applied to the surface of the object Oa, wherein the solution in the void of the stencil 5 is exposed to the atmosphere only after the nozzle 1 has been moved away, so that the solvent in the solution is not vaporized. As a result, the solution having a most suitable viscosity as prepared initially at the preparation can be applied. In this manner, clear patterns can be obtained.
