For this charged particle beam radiation method wherein while scanning a charged particle beam which is emitted from an accelerator 10 by electromagnets 31a, 31b, the charged particle beam is cast to respective layers constituted by dividing a lesion into a plurality in the advancing direction of the charged particle beam, the intensity of the charged particle beam which is cast onto some first layer is made lower than the strength of the charged particle beam which is cast onto a second layer located at a deeper location than the first layer based on the advancing direction of the charged particle beam.
