Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method and device for checking interference between solids which enables the high-accuracy and high-speed interference check regardless of relative positions between the solids.
CONSTITUTION: This device 1 is provided with an arithmetic circuit 7 to calculate an intersection between a straight line including the ridge line in a robot 2 or a work 3 which data are inputted and an infinite plane including the face of the other solid, and an angle calculation part 9 to sum up angles between vectors from the intersection calculated by the arithmetic circuit 7 to respective apexes forming the face of the other solid. Further, the device is composed of a detailed check circuit 8 to perform the interference check based on the total of the angles between these vectors, and a replacement circuit 10 to replace the robot 2 and the work 3 after the interference check due to the detailed check circuit 8, and the arithmetic circuit 7, detailed check circuit 8 and/or the angle calculation part 9 are formed as an integrated processor 11. Thus, the high-speed interference check is enabled with high accuracy regardless of the relative positions between the solids.
