Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide array antenna control method and device capable of properly controlling the radiation pattern of a transmitting signal even when the frequency of a receiving signal is different from that of the transmitting signal.
CONSTITUTION: At first N beam field values are operated based upon M receiving signals received by M antenna elements 100-1 to 100-M in an array antenna, the directions of respective main beams of prescribed N beams to be formed and receiving frequency, only beam field values more than a threshold out of the N beam field values are selected and outputted, the weight of N receiving signals for directing the main beams to the arriving direction of a required wave and setting up the receiving levels of the arriving directions of unrequired waves to zero is computed, based upon the outputted beam field values and at least one of M phase shifting values and M amplitude values for a transmitting signal for directing the main beam to the arriving direction of the required wave and setting up the transmission level of the arriving direction of an unnecessary wave to zero is computed and set up to control the radiation pattern of the transmitting signal.
