Abstract:

To provide a method and a device for controlling an electric appliance connected to a home network.

This device includes a first stage for converting a voice command of a user into a character command by receiving the voice command, a second stage for converting an action and an object into a logical command by extracting the action and the object from the converted character command, a third stage for extracting an action list including a series of action from the logical command by referring to an action library for storing action data for controlling the electric appliance connected to the home network, and a fourth stage for controlling the electric appliance connected to the home network by converting the series of action included in the action list into an electric appliance control signal, and can thereby simplify the command of the user to the electric appliance connected to the complicated home network, and can conveniently and efficiently control the electric appliance.
