To provide a method and a device for controlling a molten metal surface level in a mold for continuous casting machine by which even in the case of not generating molten metal surface fluctuation as effectiveness to the outer disturbance compensation generated bulging type molten metal surface fluctuation can effectively be restrained.
In the method for controlling the molten metal surface level in the mold for continuous casting machine, by which the molten metal surface level in the mold for continuous casting machine is detected, and based on the detected molten metal surface level signal, a sliding nozzle opening degree command arranged at a tundish is output with a PI control and the bulging type outer disturbance compensation degree is added to this output and the molten metal surface level is controlled by adjusting the in-flow quantity of the molten metal into the mold; based on a spectrum peak detection with frequency analysis of the molten metal surface level signal, a parameter for calculating the outer disturbance compensation degree is decided or changed and also, it is decided whether the above outer disturbance compensation degree itself is added or not by using the decided or changed parameter is performed.
